PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method for inspecting a part (10), which executes both of dynamic convergence and dynamic aperture size prescription. SOLUTION: An array and the part are spaced apart by a standoff (18). A plurality of echo signals are generated using a transducer, and the echo signals are processed by a plurality of channels (20). The process includes the dynamic convergence and the dynamic aperture (24) size prescription on the receiving side, both of which compensate the refraction of a beam on the part/standoff interface. A single turn inspection method includes (a) positioning the array so as face the part, (b) exciting the transducer, (c) generating the plurality of echo signals, (d) changing the relative angular direction between the array and the part with respect to a shaft (26) and repeating the processes (b) and (c), and (e) processing the echo signals so that at least one processed echo signal is formed.
