PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide zinc alloy powders for non-mercury alkaline battery, with which the production of abnormal gas can easily be restrained at a low cost.
SOLUTION: In the zinc alloy powders for alkaline battery, the average concentration of iron component in the zinc alloy is > 1 ppm to ≤ 5 ppm and the average concentration of Ge component is ≤ 20 ppb and the average concentration of As component is ≤ 5 ppb and the average concentration of Sb component is ≤ 50 ppb.
