PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head having a high coefficient of restitution. SOLUTION: The golf club head 40 has a face component 60 which has a striking plate portion 72 and a return portion 74 having a thickness of 0.010 to 0.250 inch and which is composed of a metal material and an aft body which is fitted to the return portion of the face component, which has a crown portion 62, a sole portion 64 and a ribbon portion 90 and which is composed of a composite material. The golf club head has a coefficient of restitution of 0.081 to 0.94.
