PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer package for a secondary battery having a stable sealing between a current collecting lead and the inside film of the package, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: An electrically conductive coating (21, 22), which has beforehand been formed laminatedly on the inside film (71) of the facing package (1) having sealing characteristic, forms part of the current collecting lead when sealing the current collecting lead in the package (1). The conductive coating (72) is preferably pattern-printed on the inside film (71) so as to become gradually thinner toward the hem of the coating (72). More preferably, the package (1) with the coating (72) formed thereon is rolled in such a degree as not to pose problems of the shape, etc., of the package (1) at a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature of the inside film (71), thereby ensuring almost no unevenness and the completely stable sealing.
