PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved system and method to scrap unnecessary media. SOLUTION: A printing system is provided with a first input source to store the media before printing to the media or other operations and a second input source to store at least one set of lined-up media including a plurality of sheets having different physical characteristics. A central processor stores graphical expression of the set of the lined-up media. When paper jam is caused in the printing system, the central processor decides a right sheet to be restored among the set of the lined-up media. The central processor generates the graphical expression to indicate the right sheet to be restored among the set of the lined-up media and displays the expression to an operator on a display.
