PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce the current consumption in a composite type flowmeter to attain the smaller size and longer life of battery. SOLUTION: This flowmeter is provided with fluidic vibration presence judgment means (S2-S7) for judging whether a fluidic vibration is present or not, and drive switching means (S8, S10, S12, S14 and S16) for driving both or either one of a pressure sensor and a thermal flow velocity sensor according to the presence of absence of fluidic vibration, and the drives of the pressure sensor and the thermal flow velocity sensor are switched on the basis of the presence or absence of fluidic vibration. For example, the pressure sensor is driven to calculate the flow rate when the fluidic vibration is present, and the thermal flow velocity sensor is driven to calculate the flow rate when the fluidic vibration is absent, whereby the time for driving the thermal flow velocity sensor requiring a large current consumption for drive can be shortened to reduce the current consumption, and a battery can be thus made smaller in size.
