PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To close a process for producing kraft pulp, improve the yield of the pulp, and decrease problems on enviromnents as much as possible, in the process for producing the kraft pulp. SOLUTION: This method for recovering a chemical agent in a process for producing kraft method pulp comprises electrolyzing by an electrolytic oxidation method a Na2S-containing alkaline solution flowing in a process for producing the kraft method pulp, adding the solution generated on the anode side and containing polysulfide sulfur in a concentration of >=6 g/L as such or after converted into a causticization product, before the chips do not reach the highest temperature, adding a NaOH solution generated on the cathode side in at least one process between a time when the chips reach the highest temperature and the final bleaching process, recovering one or more chemical agents from a process containing at least NaOH among chemical agents discharged between a cooking process and the final bleaching process, and then reusing the recovered chemical agent.
