PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag lid preventing fragments from scattering when an air bag is ruptured by expansion and capable of being manufactured at a low cost by sticking a skin to the surface of a lid main body to face a notch, and forming the skin with a nonrupturable resin rarely generating fragments at the time of a rupture. SOLUTION: Both sides of a front plate 20b are divided across a notch 20c, and the recess 21a of a skin 21 is exposed on the back side of the front plate 20b. When an air bag is expanded, the expansion pressure is directly applied to the portion of the recess 21a of the skin 21, and the skin 21 is easily ruptured along the recess 21a. The skin 21 is made of a polyorefin thermoplastic elastomer of a nonrupturable resin, no fragment is scattered from the skin 21, a lid main body 20 is initially split at a position to be ruptured, and only the skin 21 is ruptured. Scattering of fragments can be prevented, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
