Driving-chains with separate joint pins.-In driving-chains of the inverted-tooth or other form in which each link engages with a sprocket-tooth each joint is formed by a single pintle and the links are all of similar outline but are so mounted on the pintles that while one link is rigidly attached at each end to a pintle the next link rotates at each end about a pintle. For this purpose the pintles 4 may be of semicircular section and one link 1 is formed with semicircular holes 2 in which the pintle fits closely while the next link 5 is formed with holes 6 of sector shape and extending over about two-thirds of a circle.
