Les oxydes de type lamellaire répondant à la formule générale suivante : g id="ID2932175-1" he="" wi="" file="" img-format="tif"/> > où : - 01 est un élément chimique choisi parmi un premier groupe constitué par Mn, Ni, Co, Fe, Ti, Cr, V et Cu, - M3 est au moins un élément chimique choisi parmi un second groupe constitué par Mg, Zn, Al, Na, Ca, Li, K, Sc, B, C, Si, P et S, - M2 est un élément chimique choisi parmi le premier groupe et le second groupe et il est différent de M1 et de M3, - a + b+ c = 1, avec a, b et c non nuls, peuvent être utilisés comme matériau actif d'électrode positive pour accumulateur au lithium. En particulier, les oxydes 0,75Li2MnO3·0,25LiNi0,9Mn0,05Mg0,05O2 et 0,75L12MnO3·0,25LiNi0,6Mn0,2Mg0,2O2 sont utilisés comme matériaux actifs pour électrode positive d'un accumulateur au lithium. Avec de tels oxydes, la capacité spécifique d'un accumulateur au lithium est améliorée et stabilisée en cyclage.

A lamellar-type oxide, in particular used as active material of a positive electrode for a lithium battery and to a method for synthesizing such an oxide. The oxides are used as active materials for the positive electrode of a lithium battery. With such oxides, the specific capacity of a lithium battery is improved and stabilized on cycling.
