The invention relates to a belt (1) or a belt segment (1) comprising a plurality of reinforcing supports (13) which run in the longitudinal direction (X) and which are arranged parallel to one another and comprising a connection element (2) which forms an end (15) of the belt (1) or the belt segment (1) and which is designed to connect to an additional connection element (2) of the other end (15) of the belt (1) or to an end (15) of an additional belt segment (1) or which is designed to connect two ends (15) of the belt (1) or the belt segment (1). At least one end (14) of a reinforcing support (13) is connected to at least one clamping element (32) in a force-fitting manner, and the clamping element (32) can be held in a form-fitting manner by the connection element (2) so as to pass through a reinforcing support passage (30) at least in the longitudinal direction (X). In the belt (1) or belt segment (1), the reinforcing support passage (30) has an expanded section (30b) which faces the clamping body (32) in the longitudinal direction (X).
