An outdoor wood stove device comprising at least two superposed compartments (10, 21), i.e. a top cooking compartment (10) closed by a door (14) and a bottom compartment (21) for the firebox above which the top compartment (10) is open, and designed as at least two superposed and separable modules (1, 2), the top module (1) comprising the cooking compartment (10), and the bottom module (2) comprising the compartment (21) intended to contain the firebox. The top module (1) rests on the ground independent of the bottom module (2), the latter also resting on the ground, and comprises actuable means designed so as to be able to move at least one of the two modules (1, 2) in the vertical direction, so as to bring the modules (1, 2) together or move them apart, depending on the direction of the movement, in such a way as to allow said modules (1, 2) to be sealingly joined or separated, respectively.
