The invention relates to a method of displaying a navigation display (28) on a display device (14) for a motor vehicle (10), said geographical position (34) is determined and a representation (30) of a card on the display device (14) is displayed is, wherein the display (30) of the card at least a portion of a predetermined geographic area (32) to the current geographical position (34).
