The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for accessing a wireless network, the method including: receiving (101, 201) a first broadcast message sent by a WIFI device intending to access the wireless network; generating (102, 202) prompt information according to the first broadcast message, wherein the prompt information is configured for prompting a user that the WIFI device requests to access the wireless network; and when feedback information inputted by the user according to the prompt information is detected, sending (103) a request message to a wireless router, wherein the request message is configured for instructing the wireless router to broadcast a second broadcast message carrying preset accessing information.
