A sunlight concentrating apparatus includes a plate-like reflector (3) and a pair of bending mechanisms for bending a reflecting surface (30) of the reflector (3). The reflector (3) includes reflecting plates (31) and support plates (32). Each reflecting plate (31) includes a mirror plate (36) having an upper surface that is part of the reflecting surface (30), and an auxiliary plate (37) that overlaps with approximately the entire lower surface of the mirror plate (36). The support plates (32) overlap with the lower surface of the auxiliary plate (37) and are connected at each end in the width direction to the pair of bending mechanisms. The reflecting plates (31) and the support plates (32) are fixed to each other with a double-faced adhesive tape (38) in which an adhesive layer is disposed on each side of a base material. Thus, interlayer sliding occurs between the reflecting plates (31) and the support plates (32) when the reflecting surface (30) is bent. As a result, the reflecting surface (30) is bent with a small force into a desired shape, and damage to the reflecting surface (30) when being deformed is suppressed or prevented.
