Clipping machine (CM) for producing sausage-shaped products by filling a tubular packaging casing, including a filling tube (10), a casing brake assembly, gathering means and a clipping device for applying a closure means to the plait-like portion formed on the casing in a closing region. The clipping machine (CM) comprises a housing (H) defining a front wall (100), a rear wall, and two side walls of the clipping machine (CM), for enclosing the clipping device and the gathering means. The housing (H) includes a housing element (140) arranged in the front wall (100) for covering the closing region, the housing element (140) being coupled to the clipping machine (CM) by a linking device arranged for reversibly shifting the housing element (140) relative to the clipping machine (CM), for granting access to the closing region.
