Bearing assembly comprising:
an inner journal for supporting a shaft (10) and arranged to rotate therewith, and having two frusto-conical contact surfaces (110a, 110b) facing radially outwardly;
an outer journal surrounding at least part of the inner journal and is arranged to rotate relative to the inner journal, and having two frusto-conical contact surfaces (210a, 210b) which face radially inwardly, wherein at least one of the inner journal and/or the outer journal comprises two rings (200a, 200b), each ring having a frusto-conical contact surface which tapers towards or away from the frusto-conical contact surface of the other ring; and
adjustment means (250) for adjusting the axial location of the inner journal relative to the outer journal.
