A laser distance measurement method is provided in which a laser light L is irradiated while scanning in a horizontal direction and in a vertical direction of a monitoring range S, reflected light R of the laser light L is received and received light information d6 is obtained, and distance information d7 of a target object M in the monitoring range S is calculated from the received light information d6, in which, if a plurality of pieces of the reflected light R1 to Rn are received from the same laser light L and if the number of pieces of the reflected light R1 to Rn is less than a reference value N, the reflected light R received last is considered to be the reflected light R from the target object M and the distance information d7 is calculated, while if the number of pieces of the reflected light R1 to Rn is not less than the reference value N, the reflected light R received at the N-th time is considered to be the reflected light R from the target object M, and the distance information d7 is calculated.
