It describes a lock for a wing of a door or a window, with a face plate and a housing, in which housing at least a pivotably mounted case member is disposed, and with an electromagnet for actuating a lock lever for enabling or for locking the at least one case element. There are provided at least a one-sided bearing in a pivot bearing and a stop lever mounted in a pivot bearing on one side the locking lever, the axes of the pivot bearing of the detent lever and the pivot bearing of the locking lever are arranged parallel to each other. The force on the locking lever and the locking lever is in each case close to the associated pivot bearing and the power transmission takes place respectively the rotary bearing opposite end on the locking lever and the locking lever.
