The invention relates to a centrifuge container (10) comprising a centrifuge beaker (20), a closure lever (30) and a lid (40) which can be immobilized on the centrifuge beaker, the closure lever being swivelable at least from an open position into a closed position, and the lid and the centrifuge container being engageable with each other by means of the closure lever (30) via corresponding connecting means (42) such that the lid (40) is locked in the closed position and enabled in the open position. The invention is characterized in that the closure lever (30) is designed as a carrying handle and said carrying handle is swivelably connected to at least one carrying handle seat (24) molded on the centrifuge beaker (20), the carrying handle, in the closed position of the lid, making it possible to carry the centrifuge container by the carrying handle.
