Method for forming a hybrid structure (100) including: applying a sealant (106) to a first component (102) fabricated from a first material, coupling an isolation sheet (108) to the sealant (106), and coupling a second component (110) to the isolation sheet (108). The isolation sheet (108) and the second component (110) are fabricated from a second material that is different than the first material to facilitate preventing formation of a galvanic cell within the hybrid structure (100).
