The invention relates to a fastening device (2) for securing at least a solar panel (4) on a mounting rail (1) having one of two parallel webs (11,12) limited slot (10), with a detent element (20) with two locking hooks (21,22) which, under elastic deformation of at least part of the latching element (20) into the slot (10) can be inserted and which may then at relaxation of the detent element (20) engage behind the webs (11,12) of the mounting rail (1) and at least one holding-down device (50) for a solar panel (4) which is connected to the detent element (20). According to the invention, that at least one locking element (41,42) is provided, which in a locking position between the two locking hooks (21,22) can be inserted in the locking element (41,42) an approximation of the two locking hooks (21, 22) inhibits another.
