System for support and intersomatic fusion of the vertebrae, consisting of an intersomatic cage (1) with a continuous hole extending through it in a vertical direction and opening out at the upper and lower faces (7, 8) of the cage, and of a plate (27), which is fixed to the cage and protrudes from both the lower and upper sides of the cage, the plate being designed to be anchored to an upper vertebra and to a lower vertebra, characterized in that the plate is fixed to the cage while at the same time being able to slide relative to the cage between at least two different positions of anchoring of the plate to lower and upper vertebrae.
