The present invention relates to an assembly comprising a frame and a closure cover for the frame, especially for a street manhole. According to the invention, the assembly is characterized in that the rabbet (6) of the frame (2) comprises, at the corresponding pivoting edge (12) of the frame (2), first and second ramps (18, 20) projecting from the rabbet (6) and the cover (3) comprises, at its pivoting edge (13), first and second cam portions (20, 21) that can travel, respectively and successively, over the two ramps (18, 19) in order to cause the cover (3) to swing progressively from its open position to its closed position on the frame (2). The invention is applicable in the field of street facilities.
