An object is to provide a contact device that can reduce the damage to fitting surfaces caused by sliding of contacts. The contact device 10 includes a conductor 2 and a conductor 1 disposed with the conductor 2 on a common axis and having a fitting hole 15 into which the conductor 2 can be inserted. At least one of the conductors 1 and 2 is axially moved to fit the conductors 1 and 2 together so that a current is allowed to flow between the conductors 1 and 2 through contacts. The contact device 10 further includes: a conductive coil spring B1 that is disposed circumferentially on an outer circumferential surface of the conductor 2 and is contactable with an inner circumferential surface of the fitting hole 15; and a conductive coil spring A1 that is disposed circumferentially on the inner circumferential surface of the fitting hole 15 and is contactable with the outer circumferential surface of the conductor 2.
