The invention relates to a connecting element, in particular for lightweight building panels (1), comprising a one- or multi-part dowel body (10, 30, 50, 60, 80), on which at least one channel (14, 34, 54, 64, 84) for feeding adhesive is formed, wherein the channel comprises a feed opening (13, 33, 53, 63, 83) on a first end face and a first outlet on an opposite second end face of the dowel body (10, 30, 50, 60, 80), wherein at least one radially protruding guide element (19, 39, 59, 69, 89) is formed on the dowel body (10, 30, 50, 60, 80), wherein adhesive can be drained from at least one second opening (20, 40, 52, 70, 90) of the channel (14, 34, 54, 64, 84) to an area adjacent to the first end face by means of the guide element.
