摘要：
An encoding method for generating at least one code (118) on an item, in particular a medical single-use item (117), is proposed. The code (118) comprises at least one piece of information in encoded format. The method comprises the following steps: a) converting the at least one piece of information into a code, wherein the code comprises a plurality of pairs comprising a gray value and a fill level; b) converting the code to optical information (119), in particular two-dimensional optical information (119), wherein the optical information (119) comprises at least one field (164) filled in with a gray value up to an associated fill level corresponding to the plurality of gray value and a fill level pairs; and c) applying the optical information (119) to the item.
