A feed device (90A) feeds a sheet of a recording medium, and includes a body, a support shaft (60), and a pickup mechanism (80A). The pickup mechanism (80A) contacts and picks up the sheet, and includes a swingable arm (61) and a pickup unit (10A). The swingably arm (61) is rotatably mounted on a support shaft (60) provided in the body of the feed device (90A) and includes a fulcrum shaft (61a). The pickup unit (10A) is rotatably attached to the fulcrum shaft (61a) of the swingably arm (61), and includes an endless elastic belt (65), a first pulley (62), a supporter (64), and a second pulley (63).
