A pinned connection of an end of an internodal framing member in a double layer grid space frame to a node of the frame via at least one framing member connection element (69) at the node and in which the framing member end and the connection element define pin receiving holes in which a connection pin (40) is received to connect the framing member to the node, and characterized in that the pin (40) and the holes are cooperatively defined to have substantially an interference fit of the pin (40) within all of the holes in the member and the connection element upon insertion of the pin (40) into the holes.
