Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Abwickelrolle (2) von einem jeweils an der Stuhlung (3) außenseitig der beiden vorzugsweise horizontal ausgerichteten Trägerschienen (4.1, 4.2) geführten, bewegbaren und von einer Antriebseinrichtung (14) angetriebenen Gestell (13) bestehenden und gesteuerten Übergabeschlitten (10) aus der benachbarten bzw. an die benachbarte Handhabungsstation (B, C) übernommen bzw. übergeben wird.
Weiterhin betrifft die Erfindung eine Vorrichtung (1) zur Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens.
