The present invention provides a method of computing fuel nozzle spray parameters comprising steps of using a virtual or physical information collector (16) which is divided into a plurality of radially and circumferentially disposed regions to collect information relating to a spray of a fuel nozzle (34) and analyzing the information collected in the individual regions of the collector to determine quantitative values of the spray parameters of the fuel nozzle (34).
