摘要：
A method for recording information on a rewritable optical recording medium having information recording layers by making a recording mark having a favorable shape. In the method, a laser beam is applied to the light incidence surface (13a) of an optical recording medium (10) having at least an LO layer (20) and an L1 layer (30) formed thereon in a multilayer structure so as to make recording marks selected from a group consisting of recording marks of types having mutually different lengths. For at least one type of the recording marks, the recording powers of a top pulse Ttop and a last pulse Tlp of the laser beam applied to form the recording mark in the L0 layer (20) is set to a recording power Pw0' smaller than the recording power Pw0 of a multipulse Tmp.
