A cable interface system for a high availability, high frequency cable network. A cable network component includes an upper inclined cable interface panel (24) and a lower inclined cable interface panel (26), which defines a surface of the cable interface component with the upper and lower inclined interface panels meeting at an apex (28). Cable connection points on the upper inclined interface panel are grouped and suitable for mating with cables (12) that connect the cable network component to a second cable network component (for example a head-end system) (16) positioned above the cable network component. Cable connection points on the lower inclined interface panel (26) are also grouped and suitable for mating with cables that connect the cable network component to a third cable network component (for example a Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS)) (14) positioned below said cable network component.
