The invention relates to a radiation curable compound such as (I) comprising a mono or multi valent carboxylic ester of a γ, δ or ε-hydroxyalkylamide group containing compound, in which the carboxylic ester is derived from an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid.
A coating composition comprising this compound has a high rate of polymerisation and results in the desired chemical and mechanical properties.
