摘要：
A method for neutralizing a polyorganosiloxane mixture. The method comprises (A) contacting a mixture comprising a polyorganosiloxane and a base with a neutralizing amount of a solid organic acid at a temperature above the melting point of the solid organic acid forming a molten organic acid and an insoluble adduct of the base with the molten organic acid, (B) lowering the temperature to solidify residual molten organic acid, and (C) then separating the insoluble adduct and the residual solid organic acid from the polyorganosiloxane mixture. The present invention is especially useful for neutralizing polyorganosiloxane mixtures where the polyorganosiloxane comprises hydrocarbyl groups bonded to silicon.
