An IC card connector used for an electronic device into which an IC card is loaded. The IC card connector is provided with a body (1) having a contact connecting means comprising a guide plate (7) and a guide arm (8), and a card supporter (3) having a card loading passage-forming recess and fixed to the body (1). When an IC card (14) is loaded and moved in the direction A, a card contacting portion (8a), which is positioned in the card insert passage (15), of the guide arm (8) is also moved in the direction A, and this force is converted into a force crossing the card inserting direction by inclined surfaces (33a, 33b) of the guide plate (7) and those (35a, 35b) of the guide arm (8). Consequently, contacts (28a, 28b) of the device engage with those (14a, 14b) of the IC card (14), and the IC card (14) is locked in the card loading passage (15).
