a method is described for establishing a traffic channel connection between an originating mobile station (MS1) and a destination mobile station (MS2) of at least two base stations (BTS1, BTS2), a this controlling base station controller (BSC1) and the latter via a transcoding and rate adaption unit (TRAU) associated mobile switching center (MSC) existing mobile network (PLMN).
