The present invention concerns a copier device with a scanner camera comprising a line sensor with photoelectric elements arranged in a row for scanning line-by-line the originals to be copied, an electronic circuit for processing the signals supplied by the line sensor, and an adjustable optical arrangement for projecting the original into a focal plane of the camera. The copier device further comprises at least one rod-shaped lamp (1) for illuminating the originals, and a testing device for testing and adjusting the image definition of the original in the focal plane scanned by the line sensor. The testing device comprises a lens system for mapping a test pattern on the original and a sensor for scanning the test pattern mapping.
