This invention relates to a filter for filtrating foreign matters from a fluid. The filter of this invention uses a plastic film bag free from leakage of the fluid as a housing and is produced by fusing a heat-fusible film such as polyethylene to a filter film used generally such as a polysulfone film by heat-sealing, forming a closed bag-like space on one or both sides of the filter film and disposing an inlet and an outlet. Accordingly, even a precision filter or a filter having a big area can be produced easily, completely and more over, economically, in the same way as in bag-making processes. The filter of this invention is most suitable for a precision low-pressure application such as a medical final filtering or blood transfusion, and its usable pressure can be further levated by use of a reinforcing box, or the like.
