Un moteur à combustion interne de haute puissance volumique comprend un dispositif de réfrigération en circuit fermé de la tête (10) du cylindre et du cylindre au niveau du point mort supérieur du piston et, au niveau inférieur du cylindre exclusivement, un dispositif de réfrigération de l'intérieur du piston par injection d'huile. An internal combustion high power density motor comprises a refrigeration device in a closed circuit of the head (10) of the cylinder and the cylinder at the upper dead point of the piston and the lower level of the cylinder only, a refrigeration device the inside of the oil injection piston. Rather than embedded cooling channels, the cooling closed circuit is constituted by a sheath (2) which is a separate part and creates with the cylinder, and optionally the head (10) of the cylinder, corresponding cooling rooms . Uniformer to the thermal characteristics of the cylinder, a heat-insulating coating (16), which can simultaneously serve as sound insulation, is arranged in the bottom of the cylinder.
