Eine Steckverbindung (1) für Lichtleiter weist ein erstes Steckerteil (13) und ein zweites Steckerteil (13`) auf, in denen Lichtleiterabschnitte (11, 11`) an eine transparente Stirnfläche geführt sind. Die Steckerteile (13, 13`) sind derart miteinander verrastbar, daß die Stirnflächen in einer Radialebene (3, 4) aneinanderstoßen. Um insbesondere bei fest installierten Steckverbindungen dieser Art zum Ausführen der Bewegungen beim Zusammenfügen und Lösen der Verbindung keine Kabellänge zugeben zu müssen, sind die Steckerteile (13, 13`) durch Verschiebung der Stirnflächen (67, 67`) in der Radialebene (3, 4) voneinander lösbar bzw. miteinander verbindbar.

A plug-in connection (1) for optical fiber has a first connector part (13) and a second plug part (13 '), in which light guide sections (11, 11`) are guided on a transparent face. The connector parts (13, 13 ') are latched to one another such that the end faces in a radial plane (3, 4) abut one another. In order to perform the movements during assembly and release of the connection to admit any cable length, in particular of hard-wired connections of this type, the connector parts (13, 13 ') by shifting the end faces (67, 67`) in the radial plane (3, 4 ) detachable from each other or connected to each other.
