(R₁-R₃ = H, C p H 2p-1 mit p = 1 - 4, A = (PO) m -(EO) n -, (ED) n -(PO) m ,-(EO)(PO) n EO = Ethylenoxidrest, PO = Propylenoxidrest, m = 0 - 15, n - 1 - 40, A = H, Alkalimetall, Erdalkalimetall, NR₅R₆R₇R₈ mit R₅-R₈ = H, C₁-C₄-Alkyl, Aryl, Aralkyl) werden hergestellt durch Umsetzen des entsprechenden Polyalkylenglykol-naphthylethers mit Propan-1,3-­sulton. Die Verbindungen sind Netzmittel, insbesondere für die Galvanotechnik, wie für Bäder zur galvanischen Abscheidung von Zn, Sn, Cu, Ag, Ni und Legierungen davon.

New polyalkyleneglycol-naphthyl-3-sulfopropyldiether and their salts of the formula (R₁-R₃ = H, C _p H _2p-1 with p = 1-4, A = (PO) _m - (EO) _n -, (ED) _n - (PO) _m - (EO) (PO) _n EO = ethylene oxide, PO = propylene oxide radical, m = 0 - 15, n - 1 - 40, A = H, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, NR₅R₆R₇R₈ with R₅-R₈ = H, C₁-C₄-alkyl, aryl, aralkyl) can be prepared by reacting the corresponding polyalkylene glycol naphthylethers with propane-1,3-sultone. The compounds are wetting agents, in particular for electroplating, as for baths for the electrodeposition of Zn, Sn, Cu, Ag, Ni and alloys thereof.
