Die Erfindung betrifft eine Filterpatrone (1) zur Reinigung des Öls einer ölgedichteten Vakuumpumpe (2), welche lösbar an der Vakuumpumpe befestigt ist und Filtermaterialien (15, 17) enthält; um die Standzeit der Filterpatrone zu erhöhen, wird vorgeschlagen, daß eine mechanisch wirkende (6) und eine chemisch wirkende Filterstufe (7) in der Filterpatrone (1) untergebracht sind und daß die mechanisch wirkende Filterstufe der chemisch wirkenden Filterstufe - in Strömungsrichtung des zu reinigenden Öls - vorgelagert ist.
