摘要：
Flame resistant epoxy resins are prepared by reaction of a di- or poly- epoxide with an oxirane group containing phosphonate of the formula:
wherein R is hydrogen or lower alkyl, R 1 is a lower alkyl and y is 1 to 3. The backbone of the epoxy resin contains a functional substituent, preferably a hydroxyl substituent, which reacts with the oxirane group of the phosphonate. The cured epoxy resins have improved glass temperatures.
