La tête de piquage selon l'invention se caractérise en ce qu'elle comprend un pied presseur auxiliaire (10) indépendant du pied presseur principal (7) et portant un talon (12) percé d'au moins une ouverture, le pied presseur auxiliaire (10) étant monté coulissant par rapport au support, le long d'un axe parallèle à l'aiguille (4) et de telle manière que son talon (12) soit disposé dans le trajet de déplacement du pied presseur principal (7), parallèlement et extérieurement au talon de pressage (8) de ce dernier, tout en ayant son ouverture située sur le trajet d'une aiguille respective (4), des moyens de rappel (14) étant prévus pour solliciter en permanence le pied presseur auxiliaire (10) vers le pied presseur principal (7).
