The utility model discloses a sintered rare-earth permanent magnet with decreased eddy current loss and a manufacturing method thereof. The sintered rare-earth permanent magnet comprises first permanent magnet layers and second insulating layers which are arranged in turn alternately; the first permanent magnet layers are made of conductive permanent magnetic material; the second insulating layers are made of insulating material. The second insulating layers made of the insulating material are arranged in the middle in a partitioned manner, eddy current is limited in the first permanent magnet layers insulated to one another, eddy current is decreased, reliability of the sintered rare-earth permanent magnet is improved, a production process is greatly simplified, and production cost is lowered.
