The utility model relates to a cover for oil reservoir of engine. Conventional cover system for oil reservoir (112) cannot provide the function of an air and/or liquid separator. The cover (114) enables the entrained gas to be separated from the oil stream which enters the cover. The cover (114) also enables the suspended oil particles in the gas stream which is received from the crank case of the engine (100) to be separated out. The oil recycled from the separation can be sent to the oil reservoir (112). The utility model provides an improved lubricating system which separates the entrained gas, so as to promote the lubricating effect.
