The utility model discloses a paying-off reel braking device for power cable construction. The device is characterized by comprising a braking piece, a braking rod, a rotating supporting frame, and a base, wherein the rotating supporting frame is fixed to the base, the braking rod is installed on the rotating supporting frame in a rotating mode, one end of the braking rod is fixedly provided with the braking piece, and fixing bolts are arranged on the base. The device is simple and reasonable in structural design, and is safe and convenient to brake.
