The utility model discloses an alarm for preventing a motor from being started by mistake. The alarm is characterized in that a time relay KT and a buzzer (A) are additionally arranged in a motor starting/stopping control circuit, the time relay KT is serially connected with a normally-closed auxiliary contact JC1 of an alternating current contactor, and the buzzer is serially connected with a normally-closed contact KT1 of the time relay. The alarm can effectively prevent accidents that people die due to electric shock and equipment is damaged because a failed motor control circuit is supplied with electricity by mistake or the motor is started automatically by delay when a power switch of the motor control circuit is not disconnected due to negligence of operation and other motors are normally started.
