Provided is an automatic escape door/window opening system, which is applied on one side or two opposite sides of one door/window. The automatic escape door/window opening system comprises a startup device, a fixed rack, at least one movable plate pivoted on the fixed rack, and at least one opening-closing assembly fixedly arranged between the fixed rack and the movable plate. The automatic escape door/window opening system may further comprise at least one popup assembly which is capable of pushing the movable plate aside so as to start the system. An escape door/window is clamped between the movable plates or within the movable plate. The startup device comprises an automatic startup device and maybe a hand-operated startup device as well. The automatic startup device is directly arranged on the opening-closing assembly. The hand-operated startup device comprises a linkage assembly, which is connected with a locking piece of the opening-closing assembly and is capable of driving the locking piece so as to release the fixed connection between the movable plate and the fixed rack. At the same time, the movable plate is instantly pushed aside via the popup assembly, so as to start the system. In this way, people indoors can directly and instantly open escape doors/windows for escaping purpose, and people outdoors can instantly open escape doors/windows so as to enter indoors and provide help.
